Life is full of unforeseen situations or scenarios that create an unexpected set back & stress is a normal human reaction that happens to everyone. Unfortunately, most of us don’t get to choose how stressful our lives are & at times we don’t have the opportunity to take it off our wish list. COVID-19 is a perfect example of that. As we near 2022, many of us begin reflecting on the year that was and start to visualise our future in the New Year ahead.

If you are someone who consistently gives up or throws the towel in on their goals, dreams and aspirations, it could be that you need to reframe the way you interpret life. In this solo episode, I explain how the language we use, not only influences the way we think and feel, but it also manifests into our futures. The more we can work on reprogramming our thoughts, the closer we can come to making 2022 the best year of our lives. It’s mind over matter!

It’s Marissa Lee here and I’m so excited to be sharing today’s solo round episode with you. Whether you’re a member of the voice community, or beyond your voice is your unique gift. If you’re somebody who constantly struggles to meet those New Year’s resolutions each and every year, and you blame it on life, you blame it on stress. And you blame it on situations that you say are absolutely out of your control, will you need to listen to this episode. Life is full of unexpected situations, all scenarios that create an unexpected setback. And stress is a normal human reaction, and it happens to everyone. Unfortunately, most of us don’t get to choose how stressful our lives are. And at times, we don’t have the opportunity to take it off our wish list. COVID-19 has been a perfect example of that. We didn’t choose for this pandemic to come into our lives. You know, life can be difficult enough, even without a pandemic. It can be good, and it can be bad. But we have a choice to reframe our thoughts and how we react, It’s mind over matter. Most of us have been trained to think that stress is our enemy, and that it can kill us. But it’s important to understand that the human body is designed to experience stress. When we experience changes or challenges in our lives. Our body’s normal reaction is to produce physical, intellectual, and mental responses. That’s what stress is. It’s our fight or flight mode ready to go into combat. stress responses help our body to adjust to new situations. In those moments of stress, some of those instincts are going to be healthy and helpful, while others are not. Therefore, stress isn’t just a negative response. Stress can also be positive, as it keeps us alert, motivated and ready to avoid danger. So it’s learning about your stress responses and the repertoire that’s available to you. It’s learning to identify that in a moment of stress, whether it’s a time to slow down and take a breath in life, or is it a time that requires rising above the challenge because it’s an emergency and you need that adrenaline level to rise to the occasion. The message here is, life is an interpretation. And the language that we use will influence the way that we think and feel. whatever word you use after I am is what you manifest in your mind. And manifestation is a real thing. The body and the mind connect to create that this can be so powerful. It’s not as though we can ignore stress and act as though it’s not there. But the more work we can do on reframing our thoughts can be a most practical way of changing our mindset. So if you want to achieve your goals in 2022, now is the time to change the way that you interpret to your thoughts. Now is the time to change the language, the way that we talk to ourselves and stop that negative interpretation of things that we have no control over so don’t quit. Don’t delay and don’t get distracted. Stay true to what it is that you want. Set the intention and achieve that goal. It’s time now, to protect your dreams. Take care of your goals, set that New Year’s resolution, you can achieve anything. It’s time for you to live your best life. Just go for it.
