It’s Marissa Lee here and I’m so excited to be sharing today’s solo round episode with you. Whether you’re a member of the voice community, or beyond your voice is your unique gift. In life, we can get caught up ruminating about the past, and stressing about the future. And while we’re doing those things, it is stopping us from living our best life. We have about 50 to 60,000 thoughts each and every day, and 70% of those thoughts are negative. And out of that 70%, 70% of those are on repeat. So that is a lot of negative self talk. And we need to have the mental energy to deliver our best to stay focused, to feel vibrant and energised. If these thoughts are causing you stress, and your ability to deal with stress is dictating your ability to be your best self, live your best life and reach your goals. You need a centering practice so that in the moments that matter, you’re able to anchor down and go forward, you know, no days perfect. So why not try preparing for your day with a meditation practice. Meditation can help us to centre ourselves amidst the turmoil and the stress, the struggle and the challenge of a bad day. It can help us flip from angst, ease, from chaos to clarity. I used to think meditation was a woowoo thing. But it’s not. Some people think that it’s a spiritual idea. But it’s not. It is a proven stress relief. It’s a discipline that we can give ourselves each and every single day. You know, your brain is not wired to go all day consuming all that data and all that information. But it does, and it is capable of it. But it’s also capable of burning out. The brain is just like the motor in the car. It can deal with a road trip. But it can’t keep going forever without falling apart. You need to be able to switch the brain have power down and let your brain access something higher than your immediate needs. In that moment in time. My days are usually quite chaotic. So I have to make sure that I take the time every single morning to give my brain a reset and give it a rest. It’s become so important for me to recalibrate each morning and to remove any residual baggage or stress or drama from the previous day by meditating. If I don’t send to myself by meditating first thing every morning, even if it’s for a quick 10 minutes, my stress cup will overflow that day. tranquillity has become the new modern day luxury, and it comes at no cost in the serenity of the early hours of the morning. It’s a great time then to meditate. If you have never meditated or you may only meditate once in a while on a per needs basis. Now is a great time to make it a daily part of your life. Your brain will thank you for it, I promise you so make Meditation is a practice you gift yourself every day and watch how it will give you the mental energy to deliver your best to stay focused, feel vibrant and energised. It’s time now, to protect your dreams. Don’t delay and don’t get distracted, set the intention and achieve that goal and all those dreams that you aspire for in the coming year. Just go for it.
